Technology and managed services provider Spherica Business Solutions has acquired a majority stake in Bath technology consultancy Double Diamond Delivery.<\/p>\n
Founded by Olly Lock and incorporated in 2021, Double Diamond offers technology-enabled change, structured delivery, solution design and operational improvement services to clients including local authorities, housing associations and healthcare organisations.<\/p>\n
Lock, who remains as chief executive, said: “Although Spherica are acquiring a majority shareholding and this is officially us being ‘acquired’, in actuality we see this as a partnership.<\/p>\n
“Double Diamond Delivery and Double Diamond Recruitment will remain as organisations in their own right, although legal structures will place us as part of the Spherica group.”<\/p>\n
He added: “The main point to highlight is this secures the future of Double Diamond. The high-quality services for our customers will continue, our existing employee and associate pool will be retained, and in fact is likely to grow with this partnership.”<\/p>\n
Lock said Birmingham-based Spherica’s investment would help extend Double Diamond’s reach and deliver greater value to clients through Spherica’s suite of services.<\/p>\n
“We see a huge opportunity ahead and recognise how closely aligned our visions are,” he said. “We are massively excited about this development, which will allow us to continue to grow and add value to organisations delivering business improvement through technology on a bigger scale.”<\/p>\n
Kay Riley, Spherica’s managing director, said: “This investment represents a key milestone for Spherica. Bringing Double Diamond into the group strengthens our transformation capability and enables us to help more organisations turn technology change into meaningful operational outcomes.”<\/p>\n
The transaction was advised by Will Griffiths, deal executive at Bolton-based KBS Corporate.<\/p>\n
