A long-established law firm is relocating its Stroud office to a base near the M5 in a move designed to support growth and modernise its working environment.

WSP Solicitors, which has operated in Gloucestershire for more than 260 years, will move to Stonehouse Business Park in January, completing a modernisation programme that began with the relocation of its Gloucester office to Elmbridge East Business Park two years ago.

The firm says the move to the fully accessible site reflects a shift in how clients and legal teams work.

Camella Cephas, managing director of WSP Solicitors, said: “Our new location allows us to extend our reach across Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, opening up opportunities to provide our legal services to a wider client base, while continuing to deliver the high level of service our clients expect.”

She added: “The reaction from our team has been really positive. People are excited to work in a modern, collaborative environment, which is exactly the culture we want to keep building as we grow.”

The firm says its current Rowcroft office in Stroud — a listed building set over several floors — has served it well but its layout and parking are less suited to modern requirements.

The new office brings the Stroud team together in an open, shared environment and offers more meeting space, improved parking and better infrastructure for clients who prefer online meetings.

The office sits close to the M5 and is served by train and bus links, with a stop nearby, and is walkable from Stonehouse town centre.

The Rowcroft office will remain open until the move, with a short closure planned in December.

WSP Solicitors says it will continue to support its charity partner, Maggie’s, along with local events including the Stroud Beer Festival and the pantomime at the Subscription Rooms.
