Law firm closes Stourport office after 50 years

A law firm has closed its Stourport office, moving staff based there to Kidderminster.
Thursfields Solicitors has closed the office after 50 years in the town, most recently at The Old Inspectors House on York Street.
Five staff have move four miles away to larger offices at 14 Church Street in Kidderminster, where staff numbers will now total 48.
Nick O’Hara, managing director at Thursfields, said: “We have a strong team serving clients in North Worcestershire and have decided they are best working from a combined office in Kidderminster.
“We’ve enjoyed our time in Stourport, but with Kidderminster only being four miles away and with the modern communications we now have, there is simply no need to be in both locations.
“Kidderminster was the obvious place to consolidate our presence as there was space to expand there, and this move is part of our plan to continue growing our success across the region.”
Thursfields employs more than 150 staff, with offices in Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Sedgley, Solihull and Birmingham.
