M6 closed northbound in Staffordshire

The M6 in Staffordshire is closed northbound between J14 and J15 due to a Staffordshire Police-led incident which has occurred within the contraflow for long term roadworks.

Staffordshire Police are currently on scene. Preparations are being made to release trapped traffic at the scene.

Highways England says road users advised to follow the “Hollow Triangle” diversion symbols. Exit the M6 at J14 then take the exit to the A34 (northbound). Continue along the A34 (northbound) to the junction with the A500 at Hanford. Take the exit to the A500 (westbound) and continue to the M6 and re-join at J15.

Road users are also advised to allow extra time for their journey.
