Head office move for £40m turnover cleaning products manufacturer

A maker of branded and private label laundry and household cleaning products has occupied a new head office.
Star Brands, which has a manufacturing plant in Redditch and was involved in a Buy In Management Buy Out last year, has moved its head office to Thorpe Park, Leeds. It is now in Building 1175, which is owned by CEG.
The move was completed last week and the offices are being prepared for opening in early April.
Star Brands has been established since the 1940s and employs around 180 workers, with a turnover of £40m.
The firm’s joint managing director, Tim North, said: “As the business continues to grow, we have been looking for modern and convenient office space and Thorpe Park suits our requirements perfectly.
“It has been a busy period since the Buy Out in July last year and this new space marks a fresh start in the journey of Star Brands.”
John Flathers of Freeths acted for Star Brands and Richard Thornton of JLL represented CEG and the outgoing tenant.
