Coventry City of Culture Trust has issued a callout to manufacturers, makers, artists, suppliers and artisans across the West Midlands to propose ideas for merchandise that will celebrate Coventry’s UK City of Culture brand.

Coventry City of Culture Trust is preparing to sell a range of products that will carry its new brand and will be available to purchase from its online store.

The trust is asking for expressions of interest from suppliers locally and regionally to create a range that is sustainable, and affordable.

The trust wants to hear from high volume manufacturers and smaller, independent makers and artists by 5pm on Monday, July 6 via an online form.

Martin Sutherland, of the Coventry City of Culture Trust, said: “We want the merchandise associated with Coventry 2021 to reflect our values and to be playful, fun and produced sustainably.

“It’s really important that we tap into the creativity of the city and region and, also, our manufacturing heritage to create a range of products through which residents and visitors will celebrate and remember our year as UK City of Culture.”
