Finance appointments: Clearwater, Barclays, BHSF

New manager at Clearwater

CLEARWATER Corporate Finance has strengthened its Birmingham office with the appointment of Al-Munther Sultan as manager. Mr Sultan joins from Yorkshire Bank’s corporate and structured team in Birmingham where he specialised in acquisition finance. He led a number of key deals including the £7.2m management buyout of Manchester-based energy management system provider, Vickers Electronics, in July. The appointment follows the recent promotion of Gareth Iley to partner in the Birmingham office. Phil Burns, managing partner in Birmingham, said: “This past year has been increasingly busy, with all of our teams actively involved in high profile transactions. The appointments will support the teams as they continue to go from strength to strength. We take great pride in supporting the development of our people and investing in their future to create an excellent team with experience and depth.”
