Coleshill firm marches down south

LEADING community regeneration specialist Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) West Midlands is strengthening its presence in the Southern counties as a result of a series of contact wins.

The Coleshill- based firm, which forms part of Keepmoat group of companies, is celebrating winning a £9.6m contract with Valleys to Coast (V2C), a housing association in Bridgend, South Wales.

As part of a contract, FHM has been commissioned to carry out refurbishment works to a maximum of 485 non-traditional properties in the area.

FHM is also ready to work with Wiltshire- based Westlea Housing Association, a part of the GreenSquare housing group, to build 35 houses, nine flats and a 10-bed new build women’s refuge, having recently secured a contract worth more than £6m.

The contract wins come after FHM secured an £18m contract with Plymouth Community Homes to carry out major refurbishment in Plymouth.

The expansion outside the West Midlands will see FHM bring thousands of former council homes up to the Plymouth Community Homes standard as a part of a five-year investment programme.

MD Fraser Mercer said: “Our success has reinforced our business presence as we continue to move down south and as a result, we have managed to take scores of new staff.”

The new contacts have resulted in the need to recruit over 80 new members of staff, which in turn has led to FHM re-locating to a new pad.

FHM’s new office will be based in Regeneration House in Gorsey Lane, Coleshill.
