Access all areas with Black Country LEP

BLACK Country businesses are being invited to an event aimed at giving them better access to finance.

The Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership’s series of open access to finance forums will visit Sandwell on Tuesday January 17.

The forum follows events in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Walsall, which led to around 100 small businesses receiving advice and support and accessing funding.

The events are supported by the Black Country local authorities and organised by the Black Country Reinvestment Society. The Sandwell event will be held at Sandwell Council House in Freeth Street, Oldbury from 1.15 to 3pm.

Financial bodies exhibiting and offering support at the events include commercial banks, corporate financiers, law firms, business and financial advisors, small business loan funds, accountants and business schools.

Stewart Towe, chairman of the LEP board, said: “The first three events of this kind proved very popular and successful and we would expect the same positive response at this event in Sandwell. The forums give businesses a chance to access financial organisations and make contacts that we hope will lead to companies boosting their finances.”

As a result of the three events held in recent months a total of 99 small firms in the area have received advice on accessing finance to support their business.
