NEC Group fishes for new business

THE external catering division of the NEC Group, Amadeus, has extended its service offering by becoming sole caterer to Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre.

Amadeus, which supplies catering to the National Exhibition Centre, LG Arena, National Indoor Arena and International Convention Centre plus a host of other venues and events, plans to help the centre promote itself as a new networking venue for the city’s business community.

To showcase the facilities available, the centre hosted an open event which attracted more than 200 guests. Catering for the occasion was supplied by Amadeus.

Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés followed by the opportunity to tour the Sea Life Centre, which included getting up close with the fish in the venue’s 4D Cinema.

The Sea Life Centre has already hosted several business events, including being selected earlier this year to stage the launch event for a new funding stream, the Early Advantage Fund.
