Delcam anticipating record first half results

BIRMINGHAM-based software firm Delcam has said it remains on course to deliver record first half results.

The Small Heath company, which develops and supplies advanced software packages for product development, manufacturing and metrology, said it was also likely to achieve full-year pre-tax profits ahead of current market expectations.

In a trading update, the firm said: “Trading in the first five months of the financial year has been ahead of the same period last year, with royalties from software and maintenance licences increasing by 14% over that period year on year.
 
“Accordingly, first half results are expected to set a new record for a half year and the board believes that Delcam is likely to deliver pre-tax profits for the financial year which are ahead of current market forecasts.”

The company is very active in the export markets and earlier this year announced it was opening a new subsidiary in Turkey. Delcam Turkiye is aimed at growing the company’s CADCAM business in the country.

The firm issues its half year results on August 23, 2012.
