MWA Technology expands product range with new agreement

A BIRMINGHAM technology company has signed a new agreement that will help it enhance its product range.

The agreement will see MWA Technology, which supplies a range of automated meter reading (AMR) devices, market Trumeter power management products to its existing customer base, which spans architects, contractors, distributors, OEMs and energy monitoring professionals.

The firm will use today’s opening of The Facilities Show at the NEC to mark the official launch of the partnership.

Martin Wardell, Managing Director of MWA Technology, said: “We are really excited about the tie-up with Trumeter Technologies and expect there will be a lot of interest at the event.

“We understand the need for precision metering within the pursuit of reducing waste energy and water without compromising building and business conditions.”

Automatic Meter Reading is one of MWA’s fastest growth markets, as more and more organisations demand a way of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic and status data from water or energy meters and transferring it to a central database for billing, troubleshooting and analysis.

This technology saves utility providers the expense of periodic trips to each physical location to read meters and customers can better control the use and production of energy.

Byron C. Griffiths, Trumeter Distributor Sales Manager, said: “Trumeter is proud to be in partnership with and exhibiting alongside MWA Technology for our first joint event.”

MWA Technology is embarking on a major expansion programme this year. Based at Wharton Street Industrial Estate, the company, which employs 28 people, is looking to increase sales to £10m by 2016 as demand for its bespoke solutions grows from across the UK and Europe.
