Moorlands entrepreneurs offered helping hand

BUDDING entrepreneurs in Staffordshire are being given help to turn their ideas into reality.
Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce is organising a series of new business start-up awareness sessions in Leek.
The first sessions takes place at the chamber’s office at 9 High Street, Leek between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday September 21.
The sessions have been organised as part of the Moorlands Enterprise Programme, which has been made possible due to a successful bid by the chamber to the Prince’s Countryside Fund.
The sessions will cover a range of topics including tax and VAT and are designed to give prospective business owners valuable information and support.
The MEP aims to provide new and fledgling rural businesses and social enterprises with intensive support to help them grow and diversify, offering help with financial planning, one-to-one advice, business planning and masterclasses.
The chamber’s Head of Enterprise, Linda McQuade said: “The programme is aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, social enterprises and community businesses based in the Staffordshire Moorlands.”
Those interested in attending the sessions have been urged to telephone 01782 202222 to book a place.
