Primark unveils plans for Pavilions

RETAILER Primark has provided more detail about its plans to convert the Pavilions shopping centre in central Birmingham into a flagship store.
As previously announced, it is relocating to the Pavilions in High Street from its store in nearby New Street
The Pavilions is currently occupied by a number of retailers.
Primark says that while some staff will transfer from the New Street Store, there will be a considerable number of new jobs created.
Primark intends to submit the planning application for the project this month.
The plan includes a more simplistic pedestrian through-route during business hours from Moor Street to High Street.
Primark is now entering a consultation period to take soundings on its proposals.
Spokesman Nick Webb said: “The Primark proposals offer a big opportunity for Birmingham city centre and we’re keen to hear local thoughts before the planning application is finalised.”
