West Midlands’ most popular baby names revealed

ENGLAND and Wales’ favourite baby names for 2015 have been released ranking the names, Amelia and Oliver top.
The name Amelia – which has Latin origins meaning industrious – has bagged the top spot for the fifth consecutive year and the originally French name, Oliver has been the number one most common name for a baby boy since 2011.
Other names in the top ten vary from one region to the next, but George, Jack and Charlie were consistent baby boy names across England for the year.
All regions apart from London and the West Midlands shared the top name of Oliver for a baby boy. The top name for these two regions last year was Muhammad.
Ella, Emily and Olivia have all made it into the top ten baby girl names across the regions.
