Business District team on the move
THE TEAM behind Birmingham’s Colmore Business District has expanded and moved premises.
Its new base is Horton Estate’s Whitehall Chambers on Colmore Row, in the heart of Birmingham’s business quarter. The new team members are communications co-ordinator Tahreen Kutub and projects co-ordinator Kirsten Henly.
Michele Wilby, CBD Manager said: “Having the right facilities and staff in place is key to meeting the needs of the businesses and people who work within CBD, and as such our new premises will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we are right at the centre of the business community.”
The move to Whitehall Chambers follows the rapid growth of CBD’s delivery since its launch in April 2009.
Whitehall Chambers is owned by Hortons’ Estate who are also located within CBD. Richard Norgrove, property director, said: “ We are delighted to welcome the CBD team to Whitehall Chambers. Hortons’ Estate have been based in the District for over 100 years and the location of our premises in the middle of Birmingham’s business district has been instrumental to the continued success and growth of the company.”
The office move has coincided with the relocation of CBD’s Street Wardens to premises located at Snow Hill Station. The wardens now have a street floor office in the middle of the station concourse helping them to welcome and assist visitors and workers in the District.
