Law firms Beachcroft and DAC to merge

LAW firm Beachcroft, which has an office in Birmingham’s Brindleyplace, will merge with London-based practice Davies Arnold Cooper to create a £175m turnover business.

The deal, due to come into effect on November 1, will create ‘DAC Beachcroft’ with 2,000 members of staff.

DAC Beachcroft will have around 230 partners and specialists in the insurance, real estate and healthcare sectors.

The deal will also boost the firm’s expertise in corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment and dispute resolution.

Beachcroft has 15 offices including sites in New Zealand, Dublin, Leeds and Singapore while Davies Arnold Cooper has four bases in London, Manchester, Madrid and Mexico City.

Beachcroft managing partner Paul Murray said: “We are very pleased to be creating a firm with such considerable strength across its core markets.

“Both firms specialise in the insurance sector and the combined firm will provide insurance clients with a distinctive, full-service offering in the UK and internationally.”

Danny Gowan, senior partner at Davies Arnold Cooper, added: “The merger brings together complementary strengths in both our teams and the business processes that underpin how we work with clients.”
