100 jobs to come as recruitment firm selects Birmingham

Alpha Birmingham

A global recruitment business is to create 100 jobs in Birmingham after it expanded its UK operations.

Allegis Global Solutions is to set up in Alpha Birmingham – the former ATV headquarters building that was until recently known as Alpha Tower – and will operate from the collaborative workspace, Alpha Works.

Its “recruitment delivery centre” will house recruitment and staffing teams who look to place people in the finance, healthcare, manufacturing and technology industries.

Allegis Global Solutions’ parent company, Allegis Group, already has an office further along Broad Street, at Brindleyplace.

Phil Cooper, vice president of operations, EMEA region at Allegis Global Solutions, pointed to the “highly educated and diverse demographic” as being a key factor in the choice.

“This access to an incredible amount of high-quality candidates lends us the scalability we need as we grow,” he said.

“As a fast-expanding global company with more than 30 offices around the world, we wanted to make sure we positioned ourselves in a city with globally-minded, ambitious and linguistically diverse professionals.”

Nicola Hewitt, commercial director of inward investment agency Business Birmingham, added: “The region’s growing talent pool and vibrant demographic continues to serve as a major draw for competitive businesses with an ambitious vision for growth.”
