Birmingham IT firm helps online retailer move into the physical world

A Birmingham telecoms and IT specialist has enabled a global fashion brand to set up its first bricks and mortar operation.

Missguided appointed Intercity Technology to deliver and support the IT infrastructure of its inaugural physical shop.

The enterprise mobility and IT specialist worked closely with the retailer to plan and execute the technology strategy behind its 21,000 sq ft flagship outlet in the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in London.

Intercity’s appointment followed a competitive tender process to provide a broad range of IT infrastructure services including IP telephony support, wired and wireless connectivity for its store systems and the in-store experience for customers, plus data security, software updates and a comprehensive single point of contact support services, all delivered as a managed service with 24/7 monitoring.
