Metals distributor expands Birmingham operation with deal on 22,000 sq ft unit

The unit at Tamebridge Industrial Estate let to Righton

A Birmingham metals and plastics distributor has expanded operations after agreeing a ten-year lease on a new service centre and export hub.

Witton-based Righton has agreed the new deal with Legal & General for a 22,000 sq ft unit on Tamebridge Industrial Estate, Aldridge Road, Perry Barr.

Birmingham agency KWB acted on behalf of L&G’s Industrial Property Investment Fund, while Dunard Group represented Righton.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Righton is a leading supplier of aluminium, stainless steel, high performance special alloys, industrial plastics and composites to industry.  It has relocated its Birmingham Service Centre to Unit 11 from nearby Holford.

David Wycherley, managing director, Righton, said: “When we were looking for a larger unit to expand our Birmingham Service Centre and export operation, our new unit at Tamebridge Industrial Estate stood out easily as the best option.”

Kenny Allan, director of industrial agency at KWB, added: “Tamebridge Industrial Estate is a first class location for occupiers looking for warehouse or industrial space close both to Birmingham city centre and the national motorway network.”
