Marco Pierre White to open second Steakhouse restaurant in the region

Marco Pierre White is to open a Steakhouse Bar & Grill near Solihull later this month after agreeing a deal with the Best Western Plus Manor Hotel.

It will be the second Steakhouse venue in the region, with a restaurant already open at The Cube in Birmingham.

Marco Pierre White operates restaurants under five brands. Its New York Italian restaurant has three West Midlands sites – near Birmingham Airport, in Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham – while Mr White’s English Chophouse and Bardolino brands have venues in Birmingham city centre.

Nick Taplin, chief executive of Black & White Hospitality, which manages the MPW franchises, said: “The Manor Hotel is a popular destination for both business travellers and local guests. It’s the perfect destination to be opening our latest MPW Steakhouse, which will bring a whole new dining offer to the area for foodies to enjoy.”

The restaurant at the Manor Hotel, in Meriden, close to the NEC, has been refurbished to seat 120 diners and also has a private dining room.

“My restaurants are not stuffy and pretentious,” said White, who is an investor in Black & White Hospitality. “Instead they are about enjoying your evening, with excellent food and drink in luxurious, relaxed surroundings and quite simply having a good time.”
