New associate directors are Jon Brice, capital markets team; Rob Green, building consultancy; James Orr and Ed Palgrave, both asset services and Donna Pickersgill, regeneration.

Liz Bailey, office agency; Abi Barnes, specialist markets and Owen Williams, building consultancy, have all made it to senior surveyor.

Martin Guest, managing director of CBRE’s Birmingham office, said: “All of the individuals promoted have made great strides, whether it’s by heading teams and forging new market share, or developing existing clients and delivering outstanding service. It’s great to recognise this eleven, whose efforts add tremendous value to our client offering.”

Property consultancy Naismiths has filled two new project management posts in Birmingham as it strengthens its national team.

Charles North and Jamie Brown both join the firm as project managers.

Mr North, who has a first class degree in project management, has gained experience in project and programme management with EC Harris and Arcadis. He has worked on a wide range of schemes, including leading the procurement of two schemes, worth a combined £80m, in Nitra, Slovakia, for a new Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing facility.

He said: “I’ve got seven years’ experience behind me and I have an ambitious outlook, so it’s exciting to take on a new challenge at Naismiths, where I am confident I will broaden my knowledge in the industry.”

Mr Brown joins from Mott MacDonald where he was an assistant project manager, working mainly in the education, highways and justice sectors. Prior to that, he studied at Aston University, where he attained a first class honours degree in construction project management.

Manny Aparicio, director and National Head of Project Management, at Naismiths, said the two appointments are an important step in its drive to attract new and emerging talent.

St. Modwen Properties has appointed Jenefer Greenwood as a Non-Executive Director.

Ms Greenwood, a chartered surveyor, has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector.  She started her career with Hillier Parker, becoming Executive Director and Head of Retail following its merger with CBRE, and subsequently worked for Grosvenor until 2012 when she retired as Director of Sales and Lettings, Great Britain & Ireland.

She has previously served on the board of The Crown Estate and has chaired the National Skills Academy for Retail.

Bill Shannon, chairman of St. Modwen, said: “Jenefer’s wealth of relevant experience and knowledge of the real estate sector will strengthen further the existing expertise of the board, while her understanding of remuneration matters will make her a worthy successor to Lesley James as chair of the remuneration committee.”
