Aerospace firm seeks launchpad for next phase of growth

An aerospace company is looking for a launchpad for the next phase of its growth after seeing rapid growth since its MBO.

AE Aerospace has nearly trebled its workforce, to 63 people, in the last three years and expects to reach 100 staff by the end of 2018.

The manufacturer is now looking for new premises to be able to continue its expansion, having outgrown its existing sites in Birmingham and Dudley.

“We have simply run out of space,” said Peter Bruch, managing director of AE Aerospace.

“One of the first things we put in place three years ago was a robust growth strategy and business plan. We quickly put this into action and it has paid off.”

AE Aerospace, which engineers and manufactures components for the aerospace, marine and defence industries, has recently secured contracts with Boeing and Airbus.

Bruch added: “It is our aim to find a site that would allow us to design and purpose-build a new factory to suit our needs.”
