Constructor appointed to £4bn HCA delivery partner panel

Worcestershire construction firm Speller Metcalfe has secured a place on the Homes and Community Agency’s new Delivery Partner Panel.

The DPP3 framework will be responsible for £8bn of housing and associated development over the next four years; doubling the forecast for spending from the previous framework value.

Split into five lots, Malvern-based Speller Metcalfe has successfully secured a place on two lots across the Midlands, and South and South West regions, which has an estimated value of £3.96bn.

The expiration of the previous DPP2 framework, which ended in March this year, has created opportunities for SME contractors to join the panel.

Divisional Manager for Speller Metcalfe Living, Norberto McBride said: “Joining the DPP3 framework has provided Speller Metcalfe, our supply chain and stakeholders with exciting opportunities to deliver high quality homes where they are needed and build relationships with existing and new clients.”

HCA’s DPP3 will run for four years.

The announcement comes just a week after Speller Metcalfe was appointed to a new £6bn LHC construction framework, covering new build and refurbishment works for schools and community buildings.

Public sector procurement specialist LHC recently launched its Schools and Community Buildings framework, which can be used by local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies.

Speller Metcalfe has over 20 years of experience delivering public sector projects, most recently completing the £22m Stratford Hospital in Warwickshire.

The firm has secured a place on two lots, which encompass new build and refurbishment projects up to £4m across the Midlands and South West.

Speller Metcalfe’s group managing director, Des O’Neill said: “This is our first time on the framework and a chance for us to share our expertise and develop relationships with new public sector clients, as well as existing partners.”
