The Ticket Factory to celebrate 10 years in business with huge ticket giveaways

The Ticket Factory is celebrating 10 years in business by giving away 10 pairs of tickets to some of the biggest events of the next year, many of which are already sold out.

The Ticket Factory, which is the box office for the NEC Group, works alongside some of Birmingham’s biggest venues, including Arena Birmingham, previously known as the Barclaycard Arena, and the Genting Arena.

Selling over 2.5 million tickets a year, the company has been based in Birmingham since its launch in 2007 and is one of the UK’s leading ticket agents.

The company’s Cheers to 10 Years campaign launches this month and 10 pairs of tickets will be given to users of the site. Already on the competition page are The Killers, best known for their huge hits Mr Brightside, Human and Somebody Told Me, who are taking to the stage at the Genting Arena on November 6.

Other hints on the competition page include ‘Do You Ever Feel, Like A Plastic Bag’, which will no doubt please Katy Perry fans and ‘We’re Not Taking The Mickey With This Prize’.

The Ticket Factory currently sells tickets for 1,200 for music events per year and at over 200 venues across the UK. It also provides ticketing services for over 200 festivals and outdoor events, over 200 exhibitions and 300 sporting events annually.

The Ticket Factory was the first ticketing agent to partner with face value resale platform, Twickets, offering customers who can no longer attend events an opportunity to resell their tickets, and is the only agent to have fully integrated the Access Card into its systems, providing disabled people with the same ease of booking as everyone else.

Steven Waller, head of marketing at The Ticket Factory, said: “We have worked with the NEC since the venue first opened in the 1970’s and began providing online ticketing in 1998, but officially rebranded as The Ticket Factory in 2007. Since then we have enjoyed at fantastic relationship with the NEC Group, working closely with the Group’s venues to understand how we can provide the best ticketing journey possible for their customers.

“While our regional presence has helped us to build a strong reputation in the industry, the last decade has seen The Ticket Factory grow at an exponential rate, moving in to new sectors and markets far beyond the Midlands.”

The ‘Cheers to 10 Years’ campaign will run from September to the end of the year, with The Ticket Factory’s official tenth birthday on October 1, 2017.
