Attraction lays on a sweet treat for National Chocolate Week

Birmingham tourist attraction Cadbury World is pulling out all the stops to ensure the city celebrates National Chocolate Week in true style.

National Chocolate Week ends on Sunday (October 15) and the attraction will be celebrating the story of the UK’s favourite confectionery as well as Bournville’s role in its development.

Visitors will be able to explore special zones where they can travel back 1,000 years to the discovery of chocolate by the Aztecs before heading right up to date by uncovering a world of digital chocolate delights in Purple Planet.

There will also be the chance to watch the chocolatiers at work in the Chocolate Making zone and this is rounded off by the opportunity to choose your favourite treat – from marshmallows to popping candy – to add to a pot of warm melted Cadbury Dairy Milk.

At regular intervals throughout the weekend, visitors will also have the chance to meet and greet Cadbury Characters, from Freddo to posing alongside the Caramel Bunny.

Visitors can also catch the characters in action in the 4D Chocolate Adventure zone – an interactive cinema experience complete with motion seats. Participants have the opportunity to experience the feeling of riding the Crunchie Rollercoaster and taking to the skies in a Cadbury Creme Egg airship piloted by the Caramel Bunny.

The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop will also be open, as will the Cadbury Café.

Today (Friday), there will be a special Facebook session where Cadbury World experts will be answering chocolate-related questions submitted by the public.
