Traffic Alert: Motorists warned of long delays after M5 collision

Motorists have been warned of long delays on the M5 southbound between Junction 1 (West Bromwich) and 2 (Oldbury) following a collision.

One lane is closed and the incident is compounding delays through the ongoing roadworks between the two junctions.

Queues are extending back beyond Junction 8 of the M6 and delays navigating the route are already estimated at 40 minutes.

The scene is not expected to clear until around 2pm.
