Strong growth for creative agency

Worcestershire creative agency drp has begun the New Year on a high after revealing a big rise in full year turnover.

The Bromsgrove-based company saw turnover rise to £21.5m from 2015/16’s £16.4m. The business achieved a gross profit of £12m.

The firm was aided in its growth by the acquisition during 2016/17 of Windsor-based events and incentive agency Penguins.

The year also saw the firm add to its workforce, taking on 47 new starters to swell the ranks to 231, spread across the company’s four locations.

Of the new starters, five were apprentices including two event apprentices, who were taken on as part of the new Event Management Apprenticeship scheme.

The company celebrated its strong performance at an end of year event, held at its 212 studios.

Group CEO Dale Parmenter told the event 2017 had been a ground-breaking year for the business with major successes including the Penguins acquisition and the launch of its drpacademy.
