Midlands prepares to take largest-ever delegation to MIPIM

Sir John Peace speaking at MIPIM 2017

The Midlands is preparing to present its offer to a global property audience next month as it again puts on a united front at MIPIM.

The annual international property exhibition takes place in Cannes, France, next month and will see investment opportunities valued at nearly £10bn showcased.

Last year the wider region came together in the Midlands UK pavilion and again the property sector from Lincoln to Worcester will be represented together.

Sir John Peace, chairman of the Midlands Engine, said: “The Midlands UK delegation will show the world that the region is open for business. We are confident about the future and are ready to build on the Midlands commercial and trading history.

“By working together, Midlands UK will promote the region to investors and trade partners – delivering more growth, exports, jobs, and a better quality of life for those living in the region.”

It is believed that it will be the largest Midlands delegation that has ever attended MIPIM, with more than 70 public and private sector partners, 10 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) areas, and the Department for International Trade (DIT) all working together. TheBusinessDesk.com will again be at MIPIM, with East Midlands editor Sam Metcalf covering the Midlands presence.

A 2,200 sq ft Midlands UK pavilion will showcase the region’s investment portfolio, with separate sections for each destination partner, and an event space to host a programme of more than 50 events, including presentations, receptions and panel discussions.
