Housebuilder to deliver residential scheme at Blythe Valley

Housebuilder Crest Nicholson Midlands has signed a deal to deliver 125 homes at the Blythe Valley Park development in Solihull.

Crest Nicholson will work with IM Properties (IMP) to help deliver the homes, including apartments, and three- and four-bed properties, of which 31 will be affordable. The majority will be available to purchase on the government-backed Help to Buy scheme.

Crest Nicholson will submit reserved matters applications later in the month, which will detail plans for its scheme.

IMP, who has already signed up Bloor Homes to deliver the first phase of 170 homes, plans to create a combine residential with commercial and leisure space at the 122-acre site.

Jonathan Dyke from IMP’s strategic land division, IM Land said: “”The quality of homes both Crest Nicholson and Bloor Homes will deliver sits well with IM Properties’ vision for the business park, and reflects the high calibre of occupiers already attracted to the offices, amenities and prime setting within 122 acres of parkland.”

It is the latest boost to the development, which has this month already seen international fitness brand Gymshark move in to its 42,000 sq ft headquarters and technology communications business Wavenet choose to relocate into 10,600 sq ft offices.

Ben Miller, managing director at Crest Nicholson Midlands, said: “Solihull has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, given its proximity to Birmingham city centre, so we expect to see strong demand for quality new homes at this development.

“Our scheme will appeal to a range of buyers, from those searching for their first home, to local downsizers and families looking to be positioned in this sought-after area of the Midlands with access to open parkland.”
