Barclays fund care home acquisition

A care home in Bilston has been acquired with funding from Barclays.

 

Husband and wife team, Gurdeep and Simmerjit Sandhar already own five Subway franchises and have now entered the healthcare sector after acquiring Glenthorne House.

Gurdeep Sanghar said: “When the opportunity arose to purchase Glenthorne House, we jumped at the chance as it is a well known home with a good rating and something which we believe we can build upon.”

Glenthorne House has a ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) across all its areas of operation. The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

Richard Bridgwood, relationship director of Barclays in the Black Country, said: ” Gurdeep and Simmerjit have en established business career and I am delighted that we have been able to support them in their move into the healthcare industry.
