Carillion assets to go under the hammer

Development land in the Black Country and car parking spaces at Molineux Football Stadium are among the lots set to go under the hammer at an auction on behalf of the liquidators and receivers of Carillion Construction.

Allsop is offering a total of 13 lots at the auction on July 19, including the opportunity to acquire 12 car parking spaces at Molineux Football Stadium, home to Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

The parking spaces are being sold collectively as one lot with a reserve price not to exceed £10,000.

Meanwhile, three freehold parcels of land with potential for development at Rowley Regis, Blackheath is also being offered without reserve.

In Loughborough, freehold land and roadways extending to around 5.75 acres and is being offered without reserve.

Richard Adamson, auctioneer and partner at Allsop, said: “These are all very unique and unusual lots which have already generated excellent levels of interest. The auction process provides both complete transparency and the perfect platform to allow bidders locally, regionally and nationally to bid against each other. This will ensure that best price is achieved on the day, which will no doubt be of great comfort to the sellers in such a high-profile case.”
