Conservatory specialist creates jobs after premises expansion

A conservatory specialist is creating up to six jobs after expanding into a refurbished property in Redditch.

John Truslove has attracted Ensign Conservatory Roof Solutions to a 3,825 sq ft unit at 19 Manorside on Walkers Road.

Ensign, which makes timber roofs for conservatories, has taken on two workers since moving from a smaller unit on nearby Thornhill Road, and expects to employ another four in the near future, taking its total workforce to around 20.

Ian Parker, a director at John Truslove, said: “We’re delighted to have found Ensign the property they need to continue the ongoing expansion of their business.

“We’re sure the company will quickly settle in at the fully refurbished unit on Manorside which has plenty of space for future growth.”

Ensign has been operating for six years and is now expanding on the trade side, providing its specialist timber roofing products and fitting expertise to other companies working in the sector.

Steve Dodd, co-owner of Ensign, said: “Our quality conservatories are becoming more and more popular with both residential customers and other traders keen on supplying our products, and we’re quickly growing the number of staff and sub-contractors we employ.

“The new unit is perfect for what we need, with smart offices and storage space, new windows, insulated roller doors, modern facilities and an access yard at the back.”

The unit at Manorside was let by John Truslove on behalf of Paloma Capital for five years at £25,000 a year.
