Construction consultancy in planning team landgrab

Adrian O'Hickey (Ridge) and Paul Fong (Hunter Page)

Construction consultany Ridge and Partners has acquired Cheltenham planning consultancy Hunter Page Planning for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will add 20 staff in Cheltenham to Ridge’s 47 in Birmingham. It has around 600 people operating nationwide.

“This is a landmark moment for Ridge,” said Adrian O’Hickey, senior partner at Ridge.

“We are a dynamic company aspiring to grow further and this acquisition marks a critical move in achieving our ambitions.

Ridge has not previously offered planning consultancy as part of its multi-disciplinary practice, which has been focused on project and cost management, building surveying, architecture and other advisory services.

O’Hickey added: “We believe that brining HPP into the Ridge business will be a great success, enabling us to offer an even broader range of specialist services to our clients. We are excited to bring our new colleagues on board and, with so many innovative and challenging projects on the horizon, we are very much looking forward to working together.”
