West Midlands expansion for Australian construction products business

Australian company Makinex Construction Products has opened its UK office in Birmingham as it continues to expand its footprint in the UK.

The business, which was established in 2004, designs robust light construction equipment.

Over the past decade its business model has taken its products worldwide, including the USA and Europe.

Newly appointed operations coordinator Faye Curley said: “Based on the success of Makinex in other global territories, we have strong ambitions here and I’m committed to supporting the business in reaching its targets. I hope to expand and build the team underneath me as the business grows.”

The UK team has also introduced several products including the Jack Hammer Trolley, Hose 2 Go and portable generators to the construction and hire sectors.

The company said it has secured several high profile preferred suppliers listings across national hire accounts, with immediate opportunities on the table for one of the UK’s leading builders’ merchant.
