Fire alarm causes major disruption at Birmingham Airport
Thousands of passengers at Birmingham Airport had their flights disrupted on Sunday afternoon by a fire alarm.
Parts of Birmingham Airport were evacuated after the fire service was called out to investigate an alarm at Factory Bar and Kitchen in the departures lounges.
People waiting to depart were evacuated from the terminal while others were stuck waiting on the tarmac.

Two flights – to Belfast City and Edinburgh – were cancelled while other flights were delayed by at least 80 minutes while the fire service investigated:
The alarm went off just after 2pm and passengers were evacuated for more than an hour before they began to be moved back into the departure lounges after 3.10pm.
