Property People: Consultancy makes director hire; String of promotions at Fisher German

Property, construction and infrastructure consultancy Pick Everard has appointed a new director to oversee the cost management team in the West Midlands.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Lee Priddle will use his expertise to support the multi-professional consultancy achieve its ambitious expansion plans.

Based at the firm’s Birmingham office in Snow Hill, Priddle will be heading up the cost management team. He will also be supporting the growth of other service disciplines including project management, engineering and building surveying.

He said: “I’m looking forward to joining this relatively new and dynamic office. The construction industry in the West Midlands is booming and I’m excited to develop the cost consultancy offering in the region.”

Last year Pick Everard expanded its offering in the West Midlands by opening a new office in Snow Hill, as well as investing in its staff through numerous appointments and promotions.

Priddle said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining the team in Birmingham as the city undergoes its biggest regeneration since the 1960s. It was announced at this year’s MIPIM that £10bn of regeneration opportunities will be coming to the city and with our growing team, we’re in a great position to build for the future.

“Pick Everard has already been involved with the city’s redevelopment and will continue to support the delivery of successful future projects. The firm prides itself on the quality of its work, so maintaining and building on this will be one of my key responsibilities.”

Andrew Seaman, national director at Pick Everard, said: “Since moving to our larger premises, we have delivered work across the education and blue light sectors, as well as working on a number of public sector projects. We have also supported private sector clients in the delivery of major industrial developments, hotels and retail spaces – including the fourth floor redevelopment of Selfridges.

“We’re delighted to have Lee on board, supporting our strong West Midlands portfolio – which is continuing to increase year-on-year. Expanding the Birmingham office has been a high priority in our strategy for growth. Lee’s vast knowledge and contacts in the industry, across various sectors, will bolster our offering in the region.”

A property consultancy in Worcester has continued its commitment to career development in the property industry with four employees receiving promotions to more senior roles.

Fisher German made the promotions as part of its established career progression framework, which gives employees a clear pathway towards being promoted within the firm.

Tom Pike has been promoted to associate director, Joe Senior has become an associate, and Lucy Gilbert and Lettie Moore have both become senior surveyors.

They are part of 19 total promotions Fisher German has made after another period of strong growth for the firm, which saw it merge with Birmingham-based company Vine Property Management in June.

Tim Shuldham, senior partner at Fisher German, said: “I’d like to offer my congratulations to all those who have been promoted within Fisher German – their hard work has really paid off. It’s great to see such a diverse array of promotions from across our services, including in planning, agency, rural consultancy, and utilities & infrastructure.

“It’s very important to us that we offer our employees a clear pathway to progress within Fisher German, should they wish to do so.

“We are no longer a small firm but we have retained a reputation for rapid career progression and genuine partner prospects for those who demonstrate the talent and drive to pursue it.

“We announce these promotions just as our new cohort of graduates and apprentices join us and I look forward to seeing them rise through the firm to similar roles in the future.”
