40 jobs at risk as manufacturer relocates to West Bromwich

A Welsh firm has shut its Anglesey factory and relocated to West Bromwich, with 40 jobs affected.

Marco Cable Management says it has offered its staff jobs at its new premises, but that it is expecting to move to the West Midlands next March following a consultation.

The firm is part of the Akore group which makes steel wire cable trays and uPVC trunking.

A spokesperson for the Marco said: “”We realise that this is a very difficult time for our employees, and we will do everything we can to assist them.”

A 30-day consultation will begin this Friday.
