Kings Norton care home changes hands

The owners of a nursing home in King Norton since the 1990s have retired and sold the business.

Christie & Co has brokered the sale of The Green Nursing Home.

The home was purpose built in the 1990s and is registered with the CQC to offer nursing care for 59 residents. The owners, Flintvale, approached Paul Reilly, director at Christie & Co to handle the sale so they could retire.

The home has been bought by Munwar Sandhu and Karen Tian, who currently operate Ivy Bank Nursing Home. The pair say they intend to undertake a refurbishment and general upgrades in the home.

Reilly said: “The home was sold after a lengthy transaction, following numerous challenges with staff and management. The new owners are very experienced and relish the challenge of improving the reputation of the home going forward.”
