New jobs created as hotel completes £2.5m refurb

Budget hotel chain, Campanile, has reopened its Birmingham hotel following a £2.5m refurbishment to upgrade all 111 bedrooms and the restaurant, bar and reception areas.
The French hotel brand selected the West Midlands hotel as the first within its UK portfolio to benefit from a major renovation programme.
The refurbishment has created a number of new positions, with recruitment ongoing for front of house, restaurant and housekeeping positions.
Mark Aldridge, director of operations, Louvre Hotels Group UK, said: “We’re delighted with the outcome of the extensive renovation work at our Birmingham hotel, which has undergone a modern and stylish makeover. We’re looking forward to welcoming back our loyal guests as well as seeing some new faces.
“Birmingham was an ideal location for us to commence the programme of works given the huge amount of development underway in the city and its flourishing economic prospects. We’re very proud to be able to call Birmingham home and be contributing to the vibrancy that can be felt by those living, working or visiting the city. The investment firmly underpins our continued efforts to offer comfort, convenience and conviviality in practical locations at affordable prices.”
