Printing business secures funding for new machinery

A West Midlands company that specialises in signage and wide format printing has secured funding to purchase new machinery.

Hollywood Monster, which is based in Tyseley, is the region’s largest signage contractor.

The business has secured the funding to purchase a second HS125 super-wide printing machine which will allow the company to meet current demand.

The business was formed in 2009 when two companies Hollywood Signs and Monster Digital joined forces. The business has gone from strength to strength and currently turns over in excess of £8m a year.

The company specialises in the supply, fit and maintenance of all types of signage including illuminated, shop/factory facia, LED screens, corporate graphics and exhibitions. It also manufactures large scale advertising banners and hordings.

Mike Nock, finance director at Hollywood Monster, said: “The purchase of a second HS125 machine not only helps support our continued growth, but also gives us increased resilience and the flexibility to react very quickly. They are hybrid machines, able to produce both roll-to-roll and flat bed work to a very high standard.”

Funding was provided by Barclays.

Thomas Lewis, relationship director at Barclays, said: “The business has seen siginificant growth which is testimony to the management team. The business saw record sales turnover during the month of September. I am delighted we have been able to support the purchase of this equipment which will enable the business to grow to the next level.”
