Open Study College expands to larger premises

Birmingham-based distance learning provider Open Study College has relocated to larger premises as part of its long-term growth strategy.

This month Open Study College moved a short distance within Birmingham Business Park, located near the NEC, to 4,500 sq ft of space.

“Since myself and my father founded Open Study College 12 years ago, we have supported over 85,000 people to achieve their dreams, whether that was to change career, progress in their role or simply take on or learn a new hobby,” explained Samantha Rutter, CEO at Open Study College.

“There have been many changes during that time, the last five years in particular has seen the biggest step change in the direction of the business but more so over the last 2 years  – with the transition of my role from COO to CEO and my father taking on chairman responsibility, I have worked together with a refreshed senior management team to develop an ambitious growth plan for the next 3 years. This has allowed us to realise the true growth potential for the business, and as a result many new opportunities are opening up and we are going from strength to strength.

“Of course, continued growth has resulted in a larger team in order to offer the best service to our students. This move to a larger space better accommodates all our current team and provides the necessary room we need to grow in the future, best enabling us to continue putting our students at the heart of everything we do in an environment that reflects our ethos and spirit.”

She added: “We are incredibly excited about this move and what this signifies in our growth journey. The new space offers ample amenities to give us the base that truly reflects who we are as a business and what we want to achieve with the locality to the NEC and the airport being particularly key in those plans. We are looking forward to making the most of our new office space and in turn providing an even better experience to our students.”
