Fitness studio with a ‘high-end nightclub vibe’ heads to Birmingham

A fitness studio with a ‘high-end nightclub vibe’ is coming to Birmingham.

The studio, BLAZE by David Lloyd Clubs, is set to open its doors in early January, becoming the brand’s first stand-alone boutique studio in the UK.

The concept follows the success of BLAZE Studios within David Lloyd Clubs which have been rolled-out in 64 clubs across the UK and Europe over the past two years.

The pay-as-you-go studio will offer fast-paced HIIT (high intensity interval training) full-body workouts combining combat and mixed martial arts with intense cardio and strength training – all led by instructors and synced to high-energy music.

BLAZE will be located on Cornwall Street in the centre of Birmingham’s business district.

Zoe Mead, studio manager for BLAZE Birmingham, said: “There are a number of David Lloyd Clubs in the local area, but this will be our first stand-alone boutique BLAZE studio in the UK, and we are incredibly excited to be bringing our unique offering, which we believe is as good as any boutique HIIT product in the world, to such a vibrant and diverse city.

“We have quite a few surprises in store for the Studio, which will have a completely different look and feel from any other BLAZE in the country, and we’re looking forward to seeing the reactions from the public when we open the doors in January.

“We’re confident that the new studio will offer not just a fun and effective way to keep fit, but a real lifestyle destination for ‘work hard, play hard’ people living and working in the city.”
