New senior management team for engineering firm

(L-R): Martin Lythgoe, Elliot Follows, Matthew Hidderley, Chris Bullock, Phil Colquhoun and Steve Brown

Burton-on-Trent-based Lorien Engineering Solutions has shaken up its senior management team following a series of promotions and a key appointment.

After a stellar 2019, Lorien, which specialises in capital projects in the food, brewing, drinks, life sciences, safety compliance and sustainability sectors, has assembled a six-strong senior team to support its directors and drive further growth.

Martin Lythgoe joins the firm as head of buildings and civil engineering having amassed 28 years’ experience in building design, construction and civil engineering works.

Meanwhile, Chris Bullock has been promoted to head of engineering while Elliot Follows has been made head of compliance. Experienced trio Matthew Hidderley (head of sales and marketing), Steve Brown (head of strategic account) and Phil Colquhoun (head of projects) complete the new-look team.

Bill Treddenick, operations director at Lorien, said: “Aiding the strategic growth and direction of the business, we are pleased to have made so many internal promotions to fulfil this strategy. We also welcome Martin Lythgoe who is joining a successful senior leadership team.

“Lorien has enjoyed an excellent year with many new clients across life sciences, food, beverage and advanced manufacturing. Many of these projects relate to health and safety compliance so it was only right that we recognised this growth with the creation of the head of compliance role.”

Lorien is a division of GP Strategies Corporation, a global engineering and technical services organisation headquartered in the US.
