Plans set to come forward for Paradise apartment scheme

Argent, the developer behind the Paradise scheme in Birmingham city centre, says it is preparing to submit a planning application for 300-plus apartments as part of the final phase of the development.

Rob Groves told TheBusinessDesk.com that Argent will look to demolish 77 Paradise Circus and start the on site in early 2021.

The news comes after Argent began work on Phase Two of the Paradise scheme, with One Centenary Way underway, and details coming forward for the new hotel that is going to replace the Copthorne.

Groves said: “What we’re doing at Paradise is building great quality buildings. We hoping to be able to announce more lettings at Two Chamberlain Square very soon.”

DLA Piper has become the first office tenant to sign up to Two Chamberlain Square and will relocate to the top two floors of the building in 2020.
