Decorating firm clinches contract on £1.5bn development

Henley-in-Arden based commercial decoration company Harvey UK has clinched a £1m-plus contract to decorate apartments on one of the biggest regeneration projects in London.

Harvey UK will carry out all of the painting, decorating and finishing work on more than 300 apartments on the Elephant and Castle regeneration project, known as Elephant Park.

The 10-year £1.5bn development by Lendlease will transform a previously neglected area of the capital. Ultimately the project will deliver more than 3,000 homes south of the Thames.

Harvey UK managing director Tony Harvey said: “We have done other work on the Elephant and Castle regeneration project including the recently-completed Trafalgar House development, and we are pleased to be working on the latest phase which requires a very high standard of finishing and decoration, as well as resin floors.”

Established in 1966, Harvey UK is a family-owned finishing and maintenance specialist, working on major projects in the industrial, education, health, local authority and residential sectors.

With offices in Henley-in-Arden and London, the group has a wide portfolio of blue-chip client projects including JLR, Muller, the NHS, Kier, Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Lendlease and the Royal Air Force.
