39 jobs lost as transport firm stalls
Some 39 jobs have been lost at a Redditch-based haulier after it ceased trading.
Conrad Beighton and Paul Masters – of Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery Birmingham – were appointed as joint administrators of S Walker Transport on 25 February.
All 39 employees at the business have been made redundant.
A statement from Leonard Curtis said: [Our] Their focus is now to ensure that the company’s employees receive their claim entitlements from the Redundancy Payments Service as soon as possible, and that any value held in the company’s current contracts and other assets are preserved for the benefit of creditors.”
