Insurance broker opens new office in Coventry
Insurance broker Gallagher has underlined its commitment to Coventry with the opening a new regional office in the city and appointing a new managing director.
Gallagher’s 20-strong Coventry team has relocated to an office in Prologis Park, close to the city centre, enabling future growth, with plans to recruit several staff this year.
Having had a presence in the city for over 30 years, the Coventry office serves a range of local, national and global clients, from small businesses to large corporates. Key areas of industry specialism include life sciences, IT and technology.
To support the growth of the branch, Debbie Moss has been appointed managing director.
Having joined Gallagher in 2016, she most recently headed up the Coventry office’s service team.
Her appointment sees former Coventry managing director Kathryn Moon take on the broader role of sales director for the North area. Based in Coventry, Moon is responsible for Gallagher’s business development for the North.
Gallagher employs nearly 400 people in the West Midlands, with offices in Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Nottingham and Brierley Hill.
The recent investment in the Coventry office follows a period of expansion for Gallagher’s 70-strong regional branch network, having completed a number of acquisitions in 2019.
Moss said: “With Coventry going from strength to strength, including being named City of Culture for 2021, and offering a thriving professional and financial services centre, the city is an area of focus for Gallagher in the UK.
“I’m looking forward to leading the Coventry team at an exciting time, as we continue to build our regional capabilities and ensure we’re on hand to support our growing client base to identify and manage the risks they face.”
