People: YBS Commercial Mortgages and Anstey Horne

YBS Commercial Mortgages has boosted its team in the Midlands with the appointment of James Steadman as relationship director.

Steadman has more than 12 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having previous worked at Santander, Virgin Money and as a wealth management consultant.

He will be working from home during the coronavirus outbreak but will be based at the YBS Commercial office on New Street in Birmingham when the current restrictions are lifted.

Steadman said: “I’m delighted to be joining YBS Commercial Mortgages and am excited by the commitment the organisation has made to the region. I’m looking forward to working with investors and businesses in the Midlands, who I am sure, will appreciate our approach.”

Alexa Cotterell

Alexa Cotterell has joined Anstey Horne’s Birmingham office as senior director of building consultancy.

Cotterell has been in the industry for over 25 years, with the last 19 years based in the West Midlands. She has held positions at RPS Group plc, Lambert Smith Hampton and King Sturge working for a variety of investors, owner occupiers, tenants and public sector clients .

She said: “I am looking forward to growing the Anstey Horne brand in the Midlands.”
