Knights partner leaves to take up MD role

A Stafford-based legal firm has appointed a new managing director.

Simon Jobson has taken over from his father Tim as the new MD of the firm after joining from Knights. Tim steps down after a career as a specialist corporate and commercial lawyer within the West Midlands that has spanned over 50 years.

Simon is a specialist property lawyer bringing with him over 20 years’ experience in the sector, and joins his father’s firm from his previous role as partner at the Birmingham office of Knights.

Tim Jobson said: “I am absolutely delighted, and proud, to welcome Simon into the business. He is a highly experienced lawyer with the same pragmatic and commercial approach which has made the firm such a success over the past nine years, and I know that it is in the very safest of hands moving forwards.

Simon Jobson said: “There is no better legal practice to take on than that founded by your father, and I am thrilled to be joining as managing director. I am wholly committed to continuing all of the excellent work my father and his dedicated team have achieved to date, and I’m very much looking forward to looking after all of the firm’s clients, as well as my existing clients, both now and in the future.”
